This movie was hilarious I couldn’t stop laughing. I also liked this movie because the two people that starred in this movie were a great duo together. The movie starts out of a married couple Claire (Tina Fey) and Phil Foster (Steve Carell) always have a routine schedule that they do everyday with the children, chores, working etc. The couple set aside a day they called “Date Night” where they go to the same restaurant and order the same thing. But instead one night they decided to do something spontaneous which was go to the city to a restaurant called “Claws”. This is one of those expensive high-end places and was very hard to get in without a reservation. So the couple pretend to be this other people called “The Triple horn’s” Even though they got a seat that was not all that happened, these two came thinking they were the couple who reserved the table and had stolen secret files on a flash drive. One thing led to another and the two were being chased by the cops, breaking into places, stealing cars, being robbed, held at gunpoint, etc
If you like these two characters in their most recent movies you would definitely like them in this movie. Steve Carell’s funny sarcastic humor and his facial expressions while he does it. I also like Tiny Fey’s witty remarks as she plays the wife and doesn’t know what a flash-drive is, calls it a stinky thing.
The movie basically says life is too short and you only live it once, but don’t go overboard to almost get yourself killed. I also think when your married you shouldn’t render yourself to be the boring couple type. You should still be able to have fun and do things for each other. I do know once you have kids it all changes but that is part of life and you took that route so deal with it. That’s why there are vacations and holidays so you can get that rest and relaxation. But if you have kids that is a different story. I’d say drop them at grandmas for two weeks and set sail the open sea! The way things work is if you have time for each other and make the best of it no matter what.
